Never Back Down (2008) - Preview

Set against the action-packed reality of Mixed Martial Arts, Never Back Down is the tale of Jake Tyler, a difficult child who leads with his fists, and, frequently, with his eye. Jake Tyler, played by Sean Faris, is the original child in township with a distressed past. He has newly moved to Orlando, Florida with his household who has relocated to back his younger buddy's shot at a professional tennis career. Jake was a star jock on the football squad at house, but in this original metropolis he is a foreigner with a reputation for being a fast tempered brawler. Making an effort to equip in, at the invitation of a sexy schoolmate, Baja (Amber Heard) Jake goes to a company where he is inadvertently pulled into a battle with a hooligan named Ryan McDonald (Cam Gigandet. While he is defeated and humiliated in the battle, a schoolmate introduces himself to Jake and tells him about the athletics known as Mixed Marshall Arts (MMA. He sees a superstar in Jake and asks that he play with his mentor, Jean Roqua, played by Djimon.

It is instantly obvious to Jake that MMA is not street fighting, but quite an artwork kind he wants to overcome. Roqua will go Jake under his wing, but it is up to Jake to discover the patience, discipline, willingness and cause within him to win. For Jake, there is often much at interest than simple triumph. His resolution will not just resolve a grade; it will determine who he is.
